After 20 years of dreaming, the day is almost here. We’re counting down the days until beginning what we hope is a travel adventure of a lifetime for our family of four.

Our plan is to visit Central America for a month to bask in the sun, and then travel extensively through Europe for about three months to bask in the history and culture.

The main purpose of our trip is to give our boys an educational adventure they can draw from for the rest of their lives. The purpose of this blog is twofold. We will be using it to let friends and family know where we are and what we’re up to, and secondly we hope that it serves as a digital scrapbook that helps us to preserve the memory of our trip for posterity.

Just saw your tweet that you’re in Portugal and then I found your blog posts. I think it’s an amazing adventure that your family is on & I look forward to reading your posts. We live PEI as well, retired & moved here 4 years ago from NL We’re booked to visit Portugal & the Azores at the end of April, we’re having concerns about traveling during the ongoing Russia & Ukraine conflict. I’m interested in what your thoughts are and also how your finding travel during Covid?
